PROSPECTUS

1.  Pick-up Service
Time: August 31st — September 3rd, 8am—6pm
Meeting Point: Beijing Capital International Airport, Terminal 2 & 3, Arrival Hall
           Our staff will wait at the International Arrival Exit, holding a signboard with “NCEPU”.
Reservation: Please write your flight information in the following table and send it to icdfs@ncepu.edu.cn before August 20th.

2.  Accommodation
Check-in Time: August 31st—September 3rd，24hrs
Check-in Place: International Student Dormitory
Cost: International Student Dormitory (old building): 12000RMB/year, 500RMB deposit
     No.13 Dormitory (new building): 18000RMB/year, 2000RMB deposit
Ways to pay: The dormitory fees (pay by 6 months or 1 year) and deposit must be paid in cash on the check-in date. For particular situation, please apply for “payment delay” in Admission Office. However, all the payment should be done before September 5th, otherwise “Registration Form of Temporary Residence” cannot be issued (if accommodation is covered by your scholarship, registration form can be issued).

3.  Registration
Time: September 1st — September 3rd, 8:00-11:30am, 14:00—16:30pm 
Place: International Education Institute, Admission Office (Main Building D823)
  Things to do:
1) Check Admission documents: Passport, Letter of Admission, JW201/JW202, Receipt of Application Fee (or Record of Fund Transfer), Receipt of Prepaid Tuition (or Record of Fund Transfer)
2) Submit 2 photocopies (passport size)
3) Receive “Transfer Form” document (this form will be different according to your source of funding)
 “Transfer Form”:
① Pay tuition fee in the Department of Finance (Main building D303)
② Pay insurance fee and receive “Canteen Card Application Form” in Student Management Office (Main Building D819)
③ Sign in and receive “Class Curriculum” in Teaching Affairs Office (Main Building D812)
④ Check dormitory information and receive “Registration Form of Temporary Residence” in International Student Dormitory.
⑤ Submit passport, “Registration Form of Temporary Residence” and “Transfer Form”, receive student ID card to the Admission Office (Main building D823).
Note: Admission will be disqualified if student cannot register in scheduled date (September 1st to 3rd).     For particular reason, please inform us in advance and submit relevant supporting documents to apply for “Registration Delay”.

4.  Chinese Language Placement Test
Time: September 4th, 8:00am to 10:00am (Speaking test), 10:00am to 12:00 (Writing test)
Place: Speaking test: No.4 Teaching building C612
     Writing test: Chinese language program students: No.4 Teaching building C606/C610
                Degree students: No.4 Teaching building C618/C620/C616

5.  Currency exchange and bankcard application
Time: September 4th, 14:00pm
Meeting point: International Student Dormitory
Note: all the applicants should prepare passport and 16RMB commission fee for bankcard application and go to the Bank of China (branch in Huilongguan).
Because the daily reception number of the bank is limited, not every student can receive bankcard on the scheduled date. Therefore, students are also encouraged to apply for bankcards in off-peak hours by themselves. However, all the scholarship students must submit bankcard information to Student Management Office (Main building D819) before September 7th; otherwise the distribution of scholarship will be delayed.

6.  Physical Examination
Time: September 5th, 9:00am
Meeting point: North Gate of No.1 Teaching building
Note: Please bring your passport, 3 passport-size photocopies, 400RMB and Letter of Admission.
Students, who cannot join group physical examination, must go to Beijing International Travel Healthcare Center before September 11th and submit the result of “Physical Examination Record For Foreigner” to the Admission Office (Main building D823) no later than September 18th.

7.  Textbook
Textbooks for Chinese language program
Time: September 6th, 13:00pm to 15:00pm
Place: No.4 Teaching building C612
Note: Please prepare 300RMB textbook fee (if text book is covered by your scholarship, ignore the fee) and student ID card (or “Transfer Form”). If missed the scheduled date, you have to buy the required textbooks by yourself, no matter whether you have scholarship.
Textbooks for degree program
Time: specific time will be notified separately

8.  City tour
Time: September 7th
Place: the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square
Note: specific schedule will be notified separately

9.  Opening Ceremony
Time: September 9th, 8:00 to 10:00am
Place: Main building D260

10.  Residence Permit application
Time: September 21st, 9:00am
Meeting point: the North Gate of No.1 Teaching building
Note: please bring passport, Registration Form of Temporary Residence, JW201/202, Letter of Admission, Visa and Residence Permit Application Form (receive from Admission Office), result of “Physical Examination Record For Foreigner”, and 2 passport size photocopies.
Students, who missed group application, must submit all the required documents to Beijing Exit & Entry Administration Office before September 24th.
