1. About NCEPU
North China Electric Power University (NCEPU) is affiliated with the Ministry of Education, officially listed as one of the “211 Project” and “985 Project” universities as well as a “Predominant Discipline Innovation Platform”. At present, NCEPU is a key university jointly constructed by the Ministry of Education and the University Council. NCEPU is composed of two respective campuses in Beijing and in Baoding, with its main campus in Beijing.
NCEPU possesses a high-quality teaching staff with a total number of 1,760 professional teachers, including 347 professors, 5 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 2 “Cheung Kong Scholars”, 4 chief scientists of “973” Program, 3 winners of the National Science Fund for Outstanding Youth, 7 candidates of the National Project of “Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand” Professionals, 21 candidates of the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University, and 3 groups get into the “Changjiang Scholar and innovation group developing program”. What’s more, 2 bases have been enlisted onto the “University Disciplines Innovation and Talent Introduction Plan” (also called “111 Plan”) jointly implemented by Ministry of Education and State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, P.R. of China.
NCEPU maintains 58 bachelor’s programs, 65 master’s programs, 26 Ph.D. programs, 4 mobile stations of post-doctoral scientific research,  2 key disciplines at the national level, 18 key disciplines at the provincial and ministerial level, 1 state key laboratory, 2 key laboratories at the Ministry of Education level, 6 key laboratories at the provincial and ministerial level and some professional degree programs including Master’s Program of Business Administration and Master’s Program of Applied Engineering.
In 2011，we enrolled 410 international students from more than 30 countries, such as Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Spain, Mongolia, Mali, Mali, Yemen, Zambia, Cote d'Ivoire, North Korea, Estonia, Togo, Palestine, Laos, etc. International Education Institution(IEI)  are discussing Joint Education Programs in the energy and power field with Mongolia University of Science and Technology, NUST, Vietnam Electricity University, Vietnam Guangning industrial University, Kazakhstan National University of Science and Technology, and Bandung Institute of Science and Technology in Indonesia. IEI provides first-rate service for international students, examines materials of the applicant, offers full service for their entrance, and helps them to get the visa. Upholding the philosophy of Being a Responsible University, we are always trying to create the best environment for international students.
Since the “Tenth Five-year Plan,” NCEPU has undertaken 542 scientific projects at the national level from National Natural Science Fund, “863” Program and “973” Program. And 60 of these projects have won the Awards for Scientific and Technological Progress at the national, provincial and ministerial levels. In 2007, the scientific funds reached 240 million yuan. In addition, the Science Park of NCEPU is designated as one of the National-level College Science Parks in China.
2. Undergraduate Program

Undergraduate study period is 4 years. Bachelor's Degree shall be conferred after students complete the undergraduate study according to teaching plan, pass graduation review and have no failure record in any course or thesis.
English-taught program: Electrical Engineering and its Automation.
Majors with (Baoding) are only for Baoding campus.

？ Introduction：
Chinese Language Program
International Education Institute offers Chinese language program of different levels on a Small Class basis. We have Zero starting point class, lower level classes, elementary class, intermediate class, advanced Class; Chinese speaking course, listening course, reading course, comprehensive course, writing course and HSK training course. Besides, according to the students’ requirements，we set up Chinese culture experience class including Martial arts class, calligraphy class, Taijiquan class, Paper cutting class, diabolo class, Chinese dance class, Chinese Folk Music class. The faculty and staff in Chinese language teaching center are young, professional, experienced. The center has 2 professors, 6 associate professors, 6 lecturers, and they all have master's or higher degree.

6. Scholarships
Chinese Government Scholarship （CGS）
In order to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese people and people from all over the world, and to develop cooperation and exchanges in fields of politics, economy, culture, education and trade between China and other countries, Chinese government has set up a series of scholarship schemes to sponsor international students, teachers and scholars to undertake studies and researches in Chinese institutions of higher education.

Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship（BGS）
Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship is awarded to international students who are admitted by universities in Beijing and who have demonstrated exceptional talent in academics. International student office of NCEPU is responsible for accepting and appraisal applications for studying in NCEPU.
1、Applicants applying for admission in the fall should submit Application Form for Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship and other documents to International student office of NCEPU
2、Applicants who are studying  undergraduate or graduate degree in NCEPU should submit Application Form for Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship and transcript to International student office of NCEPU
Confucius Institute Scholarship（CIS）
In order to promote the sustainable development of Confucius Institute and international Chinese education, Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters (hereinafter referred to as Hanban) launches the “Confucius Institute Scholarship” program to encourage students, scholars and Chinese language teachers worldwide to study Chinese language and culture in China, or proceed to a Master’s degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL).

NCEPU Foreign Student Scholarship （NCEPUS）
NCEPUS is launched to subsidize and encourage excellent foreign students to study in NCEPU. All registered international students in NCEPU can submit application.
Chinese Government Scholarship—University Post Graduate Program (CGS-UPGP)
University Postgraduate Program is established by the Ministry of Education of P. R. China (hereinafter referred to as MOE) aiming to provide supports to Chinese HEIs in building high level universities, and promote Chinese higher education brand on an international basis. The Chinese HEIs under this program are responsible for the recruitment of international students. China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as CSC), entrusted by the MOE, holds the responsibility of the verification, approval and the routine management of the program.
7. Accommodation and Fees
NCEPU has two apartments for foreign students: international students apartment and Students apartment building NO. 13.
Foreign student apartment is in the north of the campus .It’s near to Staff dormitory building student dining hall1, 2 NingChengXuan restaurant and the hospital. This building has five layers, around 100 rooms. It is equipped with kitchen, water heater, induction cooker in each layer. Area of a room is about 25 square meters .The rooms are furnished with air-condition, TV, single bed, bedside cupboard, garderobe, desk, square stool and private Bathroom. Furthermore, There are a service counter, a convenience store and a self-service laundry in the first floor. 
Students apartment building no. 13 has 7 layers (including basement, for laundry),137 rooms(twin room, 28 square meters). The rooms are furnished with air-condition, TV, single bed, bedside cupboard, garderobe, desk, square stool and private Bathroom. There is a operable kitchen in the balcony, equipped with smoke discharged machine, induction cooker and refrigerator. There are a service counter, a convenience store and a water bar in the first floor.
International students building :40yuan/ per person/day，Students apartment building NO. 13: 50yuan/ per person/day，the fees must be one-off paid every month or year. Another 500yuan deposit is needed when checking in,  which will be refunded when you check out .You have a free quota for water and electricity every month ，beyond this, you need to pay by yourself.
